Last night we rocked Soundworks good and proper with the best Oxford Band Practice yet!

Thanks to all of you who came along and gave it your all to make July’s meeting such a success! You were all without exception awesome, give yourself a huge round of applause – you all deserve it!

To reiterate what I said at the end, we will have an August meet (date to be confirmed, but I’ll try and get a Thursday again). If you have any song requests then please get in contact, either comment here or go to our Facebook page.

Below is a take of “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” which I managed to snap showing you all being awesome! Sorry for the shaky cam and if I if I didn’t catch some of you, next time I’ll stand in a better place!

Following from today’s fantastic session, I am pleased to announce July’s meeting will be on the 14th of July.

Once again, it’ll be at Soundworks Studios in Blackbird Leys, Oxford starting at 7pm and going on until about 8.30.

Cranking it up a notch we will be doing three (yes three!) songs, and I’ll be updating the site with the sheet music for them soon. In the mean time, have a listen to the following clips!

“Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol

“Knockin on Heaven’s Door” by Bob Dylan

“Comfortably Numb” by Pink Floyd

See you there!

Soundworks have squished the last of the gremlins which forced us to cancel the last meeting, so I’m delighted to announce that the next Oxford Band Practice will be held at 7pm on the 9th of June.

Same plan as our aborted April meeting, we will be playing the very fine “Live Forever” by mardy 90’s indie band Oasis. As usual we will be meeting at Soundworks studios in Blackbird Leys.

So, grab the sheet music and I’ll be seeing y’all there!
