Following from today’s fantastic session, I am pleased to announce July’s meeting will be on the 14th of July.

Once again, it’ll be at Soundworks Studios in Blackbird Leys, Oxford starting at 7pm and going on until about 8.30.

Cranking it up a notch we will be doing three (yes three!) songs, and I’ll be updating the site with the sheet music for them soon. In the mean time, have a listen to the following clips!

“Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol

“Knockin on Heaven’s Door” by Bob Dylan

“Comfortably Numb” by Pink Floyd

See you there!

This is just a quick post to introduce a little tool I hacked together to scratch an itch.

Billabl.es is a simple invoice tracking tool I hacked together over a weekend which lets you invoice and track the process of an invoice, send messages and automatically send reminders to clients when an invoice is due (or overdue).

In its current incarnation I’ve opted for simplicity over anything fancy so it only has a basic set of features, and its still very much in beta. But as mentioned in previous posts, if you wait for something to be perfect you’ll never release anything.

Log in via your Twitter or Facebook account, create a client and then start sending them invoices (consisting of the very basic details). You can attach a url or upload a pdf which contains a printable invoice containing your detailed invoice.

Anyway, I find it useful and maybe you will too. Have a play!

For those interested, this site is built using a home grown (and I like to think quite powerful) PHP web services framework which I wrote because nothing currently out there did exactly what I wanted…

Soundworks have squished the last of the gremlins which forced us to cancel the last meeting, so I’m delighted to announce that the next Oxford Band Practice will be held at 7pm on the 9th of June.

Same plan as our aborted April meeting, we will be playing the very fine “Live Forever” by mardy 90’s indie band Oasis. As usual we will be meeting at Soundworks studios in Blackbird Leys.

So, grab the sheet music and I’ll be seeing y’all there!
